Frozen egg rolls: in my experience, it doesn’t matter which ones you buy. I usually buy the cheap ones from the store brand and I get them perfectly crispy with this recipe. You can use frozen chicken egg rolls, pork egg rolls, shrimp egg rolls or any other type of frozen mini egg rolls. My favourite ones are frozen chicken egg rolls.
But don’t skip the step to grease them with olive oil! Many air fryer egg roll recipes don’t have this step with the risk of them not turning out as crispy as they can be.
How to make air fryer frozen egg rolls: step by step
Cook frozen egg rolls
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 2 minutes.
Add a thin layer of olive oil to your frozen egg rolls with a pastry brush or use an olive oil cooking spray to do so. Place your spring rolls in the air fryer basket in a single layer and space them a bit apart if possible.
Cook the frozen egg rolls for 5 minutes at 375°F (190°C).
Flip over the egg rolls in the air fryer basket so that both sides get the chance to equally fry.
Fry for another 5 minutes at 375°F (190°C).
Serve your egg rolls
Your egg rolls are now perfectly cooked, crispy, golden brown and ready to eat. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce.
